Fiberglass

Glass fibers are good thermal insulators because of their high rate of surface area to weight ratio. However, an increased surface area makes it much more vulnerable to chemical attack. Fiberglass blocks trap air between them, making fiberglass is a good thermal insulator with thermal conductivity of 0.05 W/(m.K)7. Presentation: It can be manufactured as pieces but commonly handled in plates, cords and fabrics.
